Our Story
PranaraCrafts was created to share jewelry inspired by Tibetan and Himalayan craft traditions.
The Name
“Prana” means vital life force. Every piece we select carries that same quiet energy — drawn from the rugged beauty of weathered bone, the serene blue of turquoise, and the grounded weight of aged brass. These are materials that carry the memory of time.
Our pieces are shaped by natural stones, yak bone, dzi beads, agate, turquoise, lapis lazuli, copper, and silver-plated artisan details. Each design is selected for its texture, cultural character, and timeless handmade feeling.
Our Ethical Promise
Our yak bone and camel bone pieces are sourced exclusively from animals that died of natural causes — never harmed for the purpose of jewelry-making. This respect for the material is part of the same respect we hold for the traditions that shaped it.
The Craftsmanship
We choose the slow path. Each piece begins with hand-carved bone beads and hand-woven traditional cords — no modern machinery touches the process. You may notice small natural variations; we think of them as whispers of the hand, the quiet marks that make every piece one of a kind.
A Note on Authenticity
Pieces described as “dzi” are handcrafted from natural agate, carved and treated in the traditional dzi pattern style passed down through generations of Himalayan artisans. They are not antique or archaeological relics — genuine centuries-old dzi beads are exceptionally rare, museum-grade objects. What we offer is real, natural stone, shaped by hand using authentic traditional technique.
We believe in being clear about what you’re bringing home — its materials, its making, and its story.
We are not a mass-produced fashion jewelry shop. Our focus is on soulful, heritage-inspired pieces with natural variation, aged texture, and quiet beauty.
Every piece is carefully prepared, packed, and shipped with tracking.
Thank you for supporting PranaraCrafts and the beauty of artisan jewelry.
